Tradition and taste - Lessinia is also characterized by its oenological and gastronomical tradition, related to typical products and dishes: "Gnocchi de malga", mushrooms, chestnuts, "Monte Veronese cheese" and the well-known wines "Valpollicella", "Soave", "Lessini Durello". Today's village festivals, in the beautiful Lessinia scenery, remind of ancient rituals and traditions.
Sport and free-time - On foot, on horseback, by bike, or skiing, the Park is an ideal destination for every excursionist and for every lover of mountains. The possibilities of exploring the Lessinia plateau are innumerable: the fans of cross-country skiing cannot miss Translessinia, that spreads out for 19 Km from the San Giorgio ski resort to the mountain pass "Passo Fittanze"; the modern Ski Centre Parpari at Rover guarantees wonderful panoramas. Those who prefer trekking will be able to choose between a lot of striking paths: the suggestive "European Track E5" or the way "del Carega", maybe with the company of an expert guide.
Floral-faunal Area at a Malga Derocon - The floral-faunal Area at a Malga Derocon is the Centre of Environmental Education inside the Lessinia Park. Built on the 54 hectares of an ancient "Malga", the Area includes a faunal corral, a botanic way, and a building called "baito", nowadays used as a Visitors Centre. Tourists can walk along the tracks of the Area with the company of expert guides and watch the run of chamois, roes and stags from a close position, or take photos of the animals. The visit continues with a walk that allows to see the famous "town of rocks", some secular beeches and a botanical garden holding 60 typical species of trees, shrubs, herbs and ferns. The floral-faunal Area may be the right starting point for trips to the "malghe" and to the "contrade" nearby.
At Regional Natural Park of Lessinia, there is tourist accommodation available in hotels, farm holiday, farmhouse, residence self-catering accommodation, b&b, rooms for rent, holiday homes, camp sites and tourist villages.
